eNewsletter 2023 Term 2, Week 3
Happy Catholic Education Week!
We hope you are enjoying Catholic Education Week celebrations so far.
We are loving all the #LoveMyCatholicSchool Facebook posts and seeing the creative ways the resources are being enjoyed in schools. We look forward to seeing many more posts throughout the week.
We have aimed to make it easy for schools to join in the #LoveMyCatholicSchool campaign by providing printable and digital resources – including social media captions and tiles. These can be accessed via the Information Kit.
Book your Open Week postcards & bookmarks by tomorrow
Printed postcards and bookmarks are available to be purchased to promote Open Week events or your school more generally.
These will be designed by Siobhan Evans featuring your student photos already taken or being taken in 2023 (or 2022 if you are re-using last year’s photos) and wording specific to your school. They can be distributed at local childcare centres and playgroups, cafes, medical clinics, leisure centres with children’s activities (e.g. kinder gym), libraries, etc.
Packs are $45 each for 100 postcards and 100 bookmarks (see page 14 of the Catholic Schools Open Week Information Kit for more details).
Please email Deanna.Bator@cesa.catholic.edu.au by tomorrow, Wednesday May 17 to place your order – and please note how many packs you would like.

Ideas and Inspo - Promoting tours and events
One thing all our schools have in common is hosting events, open days/nights and tours in some capacity. Have you noticed some get more interest and attendance than others?
We're bringing the Communications and Marketing Network together to share the great ideas that have led to successful events and inspire each other to improve for future events.
Each participant will be encouraged to share:
- Ideas – a successful tool or campaign for promoting a school tour or event
- Inspo – an opportunity to seek advice or ask questions regarding school tours and events
Session details:
- Thursday June 8, 9:30am-11:00am
- Catholic Education Office, Thebarton
Register for this session via email to Deanna Bator via Deanna.Bator@cesa.catholic.edu.au to come along and be inspired!
Catholic School Parents SA (CSPSA) continues to present the Parent Engagement Program and welcomes all parents and carers of children in Catholic schools to attend.
The next CSPSA event will be an inspirational evening with Dr Gill Hicks AM MBE, who is globally known as a survivor of the London terrorist bombings on July 7, 2005.
Gill will present ‘Resilience’ – a raw conversation on her life experience, gratitude for life and how it relates to families. Attendees will leave the event feeling empowered, inspired, and grateful to continue to their parenting and education journey.
Following discussion with your leadership team, CSPSA would welcome this invitation flyer being shared with your school parent and carer community.
