Refresh your school website for 2025
We invite you to participate in our last Communications and Networking session for 2025.
This is being held ONLINE on Tuesday October 29 from 9:30-11am.
We look forward to facilitating an open discussion around your school’s website. We will discuss strategies to enhance user experience, streamline content, and align with current digital trends for a refreshed and engaging online presence in 2025. This session will also provide an opportunity to share challenges, successes, and tips with colleagues from other schools.
Join us to gain valuable insights, ask questions, and increase engagement with your school’s website.

The SACCS Annual Report is produced in a digital format.
Please send us your most beautiful and engaging high resolution images from the 2023 school year via email or a sharing platform by end of Week 3.

Navigating Inescapable Moments
Please share this exciting parent event with your school community:
Navigating Inescapable Moments, presented by Nathan 'Dubsy' Want is an online parent engagement event being held on October 29 2024 6.00pm - 7.30pm.
Nathan "Dubsy" Want will speak about key moments facing teens, providing parents with tools and strategies to support and lead their teen through current and future moments by fostering growth and resilience.
For the past 18 years, "Dubsy" has worked with teens and parents in various environments in the area of wellbeing and leadership to give them skills to deal with what's in front of them now and what's coming later in life.
We ask for your support by sharing this to your school community.
The Advertiser is looking to feature the 2025 secondary school / college captains (or head prefect equivalent) in a story.
The story would feature a number of different schools' new captains – they will try and accommodate as many schools as possible. Read the 2024 version of this story.
If your school would like to be featured, please respond to Shashi Baltutis by Friday, November 1.
Questions for the school captains to answer:
- What is your name?
- Year level (I assume Year 12 next year)
- Age
- What are the responsibilities of a school captain at your school?
- Why did you put your hand up to be captain?
- How does being captain make you feel?
- What impact do you have at the school?
- What do you want to do after school (uni degree, TAFE course etc.)?
- What do you want to do for a career?
- How do you think being school captain helps you get there?
- What skills are you developing as a school captain?

The Southern Cross and Catholic Education SA are calling for students in the Adelaide and Port Pirie dioceses to use their artistic skills to design Archbishop Patrick O’Regan’s 2024 Christmas card!
Entries are open in the following categories: Reception to Year 2, Years 3-5, Years 6-8 and Years 9-12. The images should be no larger than A4 size and can be created by hand or computer-generated.
The winning entries will be published in the December issue of The Southern Cross and on the Archdiocesan website. Category winners will receive Wallis Cinemas passes.
Entries must be submitted as hard copies by close of business Wednesday November 20 to: The Southern Cross, 39 Wakefield St, Adelaide 5000 with name, address, school and age included.
If you would like your students to receive a certificate of participation, we can provide you with an electronic template (contact Mary Coombe on 8210 8125 or mcoombe@adelaide.catholic.org.au).
Teachers or students requiring more information can contact Jenny Brinkworth on 8210 8147 or jbrinkworth@adelaide.catholic.org.au. APRIMs/RECs at all schools will also be informed about this initiative.
Key Dates 2025
The Communications and Marketing Team is in the process of confirming dates for Catholic Education Week and Catholic Schools Open Week for 2025.
We are also finalising our Professional Development Calendar for 2025 which will include a range of exciting sessions and events to help elevate your school marketing.
