Boys kick goals for APY Footballers

Footy enthusiasts, Jakob and Tom from Star of the Sea School at Henley Beach, want to make a difference by providing footy boots to young people in remote South Australia, including the APY lands.

Inspired by a leaders’ convention they atteded, the boys started the 'Kick in my Boots Foundation'. They aimed to provide 100 pairs of footy boots but have far exceeded that goal. They have involved SANFL clubs as well as the Star of the Sea community. Funds have been raised at school which may also provide some socks to go with the boots. The boys’ big hearts have touched on the generous spirit of others. It is highly likely that Tom and Jakob will travel to the APY lands to personally deliver the donated boots.

The Channel 7 News picked up the 'Kick in my Boots' project.

The Western suburbs Messenger featured 'Kick in My Boots' on the front page.
