Arch D Radio Award winners

On Friday, February 24, Catholic youth radio celebrated it’s ‘night of nights’ with the 3rd annual Arch D Radio Awards, at Sacred Heart College’s DeBourg Auditorium.

Featuring nominated students and old scholars from 6 colleges, awards were presented in 11 categories to announcers, interviewers and audio producers who have particularly excelled during 2016.

Celebrity guest presenters Brenton Ragless (Channel 9 News), Heather Day (Masterchef finalist) and Tess Reynolds (International Ice Hockey Gold Medallist) added even more excitement to the red carpet event.

MC James Meston, who is also Arch D Radio’s producer and co-founder, spoke about how much the audience for the show and 1079 Life in general has grown, saying the station now has just under 300,000 listeners per month.
