Students from Rosary School, St Pius X Catholic School and St Joseph’s Memorial School, Norwood received awards at the 2018 Primary Mathematics Association Powerful Learners: Mathematics & Numeracy Challenge. More than 1000 people attended, applauding the children as they received their awards from Minister John Gardner and Chief Scientist, Professor Caroline McMillen.
St Pius X Catholic School was also awarded the whole school award for their outstanding entries in both Individual, Small Group, Class and the Educator categories.
Paper planes, drones and the colour red were on the radar at St Therese School, Colonel Light Gardens, when students participated in a special event to raise awareness of dyslexia.
