Last month saw many of our schools’ leadership teams involved in one or more of the programs offered by Catholic education SA's Staff Spiritual & Religious Formation Team.
Our leaders show generosity and passion for their involvement in, and learning about being leaders of Spiritual & Religious formation for their staff and of course, the students in their schools.
Nurturing the Mustard Seed
21 leaders from CESA schools committed to spending Sunday -Tuesday together in Victor Harbor. The time provided opportunities for both personal nourishment through prayer and Eucharist , but also in learning more about Spirituality and what it means to be a leaders and facilitators of Spiritual and Religious formation for their communities in their schools.
Making Nests (Port Pirie):
Leaders gather once a term to continue the exploration of how to build their capacities in leading spiritual and religious formation for their staff. Participants tend to their own times of prayer and reflection on scripture, as well as through share experiences of leading similar experiences back in their schools. Participants also use a text to invite discussion for ongoing learning.
Come to the Water
With a focus of prayer and ‘time away’ in a retreat style, the leaders who attend Come to the Water commit to 3 such sessions for the purpose of nourishing their own prayer and spiritual lives. With a focus on moments of prayer, Eucharist and reflection, the group explore scripture as well as other sources for prayerful reflection.
Nazareth Catholic College has received a $15,000 Google sponsorship towards a collaborative Future Learners Conference for educators.
