Students welcome hand sanitiser donation

Students at St. Martin’s Catholic Primary School, Greenacres, recently received a welcome gift of hand sanitiser.

Michael Hickinbotham kindly donated the boxes of Australian Distilling Co. hand sanitiser in response to the COVID19 crisis.

Dr Neil McGoran, Director, Catholic Education SA, said that the generous donation would be distributed to Catholic schools across South Australia for the benefit of the children, young people and families.

The local company started producing hand sanitiser in response to needs arising for community safety as a consequence of COVID19.

“Here at Australian Distilling Co. we have thought long and hard about those who are most affected during this unprecedented time,” said Michael Hickinbotham.

“Our distillery has changed gears and created hand sanitiser to do our part in working together and keeping Australia safe.

“Educating our children through this difficult time has been a challenge, we recognise this and the hard work your staff do. We are pleased to do what we can to lift the spirits of your community.”

The donation of premium hand sanitisers will make a significant difference to Catholic schools across the State.

“Michael’s thoughtful and generous donation will be greatly appreciated by our schools at a time when such resources are of critical importance,” said Dr McGoran.

The Catholic Education Director got an extra surprise when the gift was personally delivered by Australian Distilling Co. employee - Lori Wakelin – who he taught as a student some years ago.
