St David's students 'rock' their times tables

Students at Saint David's School Tea Tree Gully have placed second in the country at a nationwide times tables competition!

Year 3 to 6 students have been using 'Times Tables Rock Stars' since June 2020 and entered their Australia-wide Oz Rocks 2021 competition held over 4 days from March 22 to 25.

The challenge required students to correctly answer as many multiplication and division questions as possible. Almost 4 million questions were answered collectively by 3,209 pupils from more than 40 schools and 200 classes across the country.

St David's students finished with a very impresisve grand total of 524,641 points. The top class scored 189,909 points with an average of 7,909 per student!

The school's top student Liam from 6T individually scored a huge 41,956 points, finishing 4th in Australia.
