Catholic School COVID-19 Commitment

We understand that parents will have many questions about the changes to the 2022 school year announced by the Premier on January 13.

We also know that everyone’s situation is different:

  • Some parents will be delighted that their child will be returning to the classroom (equally, some will be delighted that their child will be learning remotely)
  • Some parents – particularly those with a child or family member with a health condition that puts them at greater risk or those with a child yet to have a vaccine –– may be feeling anxious
  • Some parents – particularly those with children in multiple year levels – may be wondering how they will navigate the return to school.

Unprecedented times call for an unprecedented response.  We haven’t been in this position before and we will all be feeling a range of emotions. We can, however, choose to respond to each other with respect and kindness.

Two things are certain.

  • We’re 100% committed to supporting the learning and wellbeing of our students.
  • We’re 100% committed to work with every family as we navigate the start to the 2022 school year together.

No child who needs care will be turned away from our schools. If a child is in a year level undertaking remote learning and that parent needs to work or is unable to support their child at home – they will be able to attend school and do their online learning under supervision.

Greater detail around the specific COVID safe protocols that will be in place for the return to school will be provided in the days ahead.

You can expect further information to come to you direct from your school. Your principal will provide you with more specific details about how your school will deliver learning and support for your child.
