Blankets of Love from Kildare College Community

At the annual Daniel Delany Mass Kildare College, Holden Hill, welcomed Mick Beech from the St Vincent de Paul Society who collected the crocheted and knitted blankets that the wonderful community made. It is a heart-warming project involving students, parents, staff and members of the Parish of St David’s and Our Lady of Hope. Community members donated wool, made and sewed together hundreds of squares into warm, colourful blankets that will now go to people in need.

Neil Dwiar, President of the St Vincent de Paul Conference in Tea Tree Gully also attended the Mass, along with his wife, Annette Dwiar, who made a great contribution to the Blankets of Love project. In all, 14 blankets were made and donated. Kildare College is very proud of the work of our new College Vinnies and grateful to everyone in the community who gave generously of their time and resources to help others less fortunate in Adelaide.
