Students and staff from Loreto College attended the launch of the Loreto Portraiture Exhibition at the Catholic Education Office in August.
Over the course of the first semester, the Year 11 Visual Art students worked with teacher Jacky Hamilton and artist-in-residence Sarah Moller to examine the theme of portraiture.
Through a series of workshops the students were introduced to various techniques associated with using charcoal, acrylics and oil paint.
The body of paintings on exhibition represents the works created by the students for their final assessment pieces.
The display is in the foyer of the Catholic Education Office at Thebarton until the end of Term 3.
Intergenerational playgroups are truly something special — an experience that enriches the lives of both the young and the older members of our community. These playgroups are more than just a space for children to play; they are a vital platform for different generations to come together, share wisdom, and build meaningful relationships.
