Thirty seven delegates from 18 Catholic Education Offices participated in the inaugural National Catholic Education Early Years Education Forum in Adelaide on September 3 and 4 2015.
A highlight of the program was an exploration of the CESA Stimulus Paper, Children: Close to the Mystery of God led by Rev. Dr James McEvoy. The session led to ongoing discussion and supported the integration of pedagogical, cultural and political topics throughout the forum.

Throughout the two days, each Diocese shared initiatives and aspirations. This brought the Dioceses into closer working relationships and participants agreed to create an ‘online clearing house’ for continued sharing of resources.
Through her facilitation, Joce Nuttall, ACU, continually challenged the group to reflect on and consider the links between family, parish and school and the uniqueness of Catholic identity.
Intergenerational playgroups are truly something special — an experience that enriches the lives of both the young and the older members of our community. These playgroups are more than just a space for children to play; they are a vital platform for different generations to come together, share wisdom, and build meaningful relationships.
