Congratulations to Reece Jongenelis, student at Marcellin Technical College, who is this year’s School Based Apprentice of the Year.
Reece also received the People’s Choice Award at the Training and Skills Commission’s 2015 SA Training Awards on Friday September 11.
Reece is trained by the College’s in-house registered training organisation, MTC Training, and employed by P-One Electrical.
This year marked the 20th anniversary of the awards that recognise exceptional achievement in the state’s vocational education and training sector.
Staff from Catholic Education SA, along with the two Catholic Technical Colleges, Marcellin and St Patrick’s, attended this key event in the vocational education and training calendar. Reece’s family and employer were also there to help Reece celebrate this significant achievement.
Reece now has the opportunity to represent South Australia at the Australian Training Awards in Hobart in November 2015.
Twenty students from Catholic schools in South Australia have been named among the winners in two major state-wide Humanities competitions.
Earlier this year, senior school students from across South Australia were invited to enter the 2024 Premier’s Anzac Spirit School Prize and the Muriel Matters Awards.
