Bill Corey, a 98-year-old World War 2 veteran who served in North Africa, Borneo and New Guinea, enthralled the Secondary boys choir with stories in preparation for Catholic Schools Music Festival.
The theme of the Festival – to be held on September 21 – 24 - is Music to warm the Heart and will feature uplifting music from the war years.
Bill spoke to the boys choir about the music of Vera Lynn and other favourites which helped keep himself and his comrades going in those challenging times of war. He said having a positive attitude helped and also the ability to get along with everyone.
Tickets for the Catholic Schools Festival are available now through BASS.
