The Marine Discovery Centre, Star of the Sea School, Henley Beach is delighted to announce that it will be offering a unique program calling on Science and Aboriginal understandings of the environment. The project will have a bi-cultural aspect that allows the sharing of different ways of understanding water quality, catchment, and coastal issues. In exploring these issues co-operatively through both traditional Aboriginal knowledge, and Western Science, this project will provide a unique understanding of the environment to its audience. It will seek to both understand and explain the main issues impacting upon coastal ecosystems from each world view, and to utilise performance and presentation to deliver its message.
School groups will be able to join acclaimed performers Karl Telfer and Michael Mills in a unique performance as they travel amongst shared footprints along the coastal sands of Adelaide The Environmental Protection authority are funding this program.
