New Marine Discovery Trainees Project

The Marine Discovery Centre, Star of the Sea School, Henley Beach is delighted to win a grant to develop a program to train Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal young adults to become Marine Trail Leaders. The Training will involve teaching skills, communication skills and acquiring relevant knowledge and skills. It will also involve a knowledge of Marine Trails so that the trainees can inform our visitors about the direct relationship between catchments and the coast. Karl Telfer will be involved as a Mentor for the trainees. He is a senior custodian of ceremony, a cultural educator, designer and artist. Karl is a very talented presenter, artist and educator and he will be an excellent Mentor.
