Our primary schools manage their own enrolments so parents/carers should contact the school they are interested in to find out what they need to do to enrol their children.

How do I enrol my child?

All schools conduct enrolment conversations so that the school and families understand how they can work in partnership to support the child's development.

Some primary schools have waiting lists for enrolments so parents/carers should contact schools early to confirm when enrolment applications are due.

What information do I need to provide at enrolment?

Parents/carers will need to complete an enrolment application, supplied by the school.

You are also required to present the following documents for the enrolment process:

  • birth certificate or extract
  • latest school report and/or reference from previous schools
  • baptismal certificate
  • any Court order or related information regarding the custody of child/ren
  • documentation relating to special needs (any reports, action plans, assessments etc)
  • letter of support/reference from the Parish Priest / Minister of Religion

What about children with special needs?

Parents/carers of children with special needs should approach the desired school at least a year in advance to discuss their needs.
