Respect. Understanding. Affection. Humour

Drawing on our rich and dynamic Salesian tradition, our values are captured using the acronym RUAH, which is the Hebrew word for the “Spirit of God,” who calls us to live with respect, understanding, affection and humour.

Xavier College is an affordable Catholic co-educational Reception to Year 12 school. Our campuses are located approximately 40 kilometres north of the Adelaide CBD. The Evanston Campus (Reception to Year 6) is located near the southern edge of the Gawler township.

Xavier College Evanston opened in 2023 following the amalgamation of St Brigid’s Catholic School with Xavier College.

Starting school life is an adventure and at Xavier College Evanston, we work to support our students every step of the way. During their early and primary years, students focus on building their literacy and numeracy skills to become superstar readers, writers and mathematicians. Specialist lessons in Italian, music, science and sport enable our learners to explore various paths and discover their motivations.

Evanston Campus’ quadrangle layout fosters a strong sense of community. It features the Samaritan Gymnasium and MacKillop Arts Theatre, with two indoor courts and a fully equipped stage, newly built classrooms that invite collaborative and immersive learning, the Environmental Centre, Library and plenty of outdoor spaces.

The College is continuing to refurbish facilities at our Evanston Campus. We look forward to developing further plans with our community in the future.

An authentic learning environment

We prepare students for life beyond schooling, encouraging them to engage with relevant, real-world problem solving and meaningful activities to ensure they actively think about what they’re learning. Our students personally connect with their learning to find a pathway they are inspired by.

Xavier College is an affordable Catholic co-educational Reception to Year 12 school. Our campuses are located approximately 40 kilometres north of the Adelaide CBD. The Gawler Belt Campus (Years 7-12) is located just outside the town of Gawler.

The College commenced at Gawler Belt in February 1995, with 83 Year 8 students. The expansion since that time has been remarkable.

We believe in educating the whole child, focusing on maximising each student’s potential. At Xavier College Gawler Belt, students select subjects to support their chosen pathway, whether that be a pathway to university, a trade, apprenticeship, full-time employment or something in-between. Senior students have additional opportunities to become leaders in the College community as student leaders.

Gawler Belt Campus is situated on a beautiful 17-hectare property where students have access to high quality specialist learning facilities. This includes the Xavier College Chapel, Mawson Discovery Base (science learning centre), home of our agriculture program, The Bosco Centre (a specialist music centre), food technology centre, technology centre and the impressive 300-seat Colonel George Gawler Auditorium.

In March 2024, the College commenced the development of a Campus Master Plan outlining our intent to continually improve learning environments to ensure our students are given amazing opportunities.

Where each child is individually known and cared for

Guided by the example set by Saint John Bosco, our College maintains an atmosphere of reasonableness and kindness, and a nurturing environment in which each child is individually known and cared for. Our dedicated staff are committed to the holistic development of each student, encouraging our young people to be good, honest Christian citizens who give generously to their local and global communities.

Xavier College is an affordable Catholic co-educational Reception to Year 12 school. Our campuses are located approximately 40 kilometres north of the Adelaide CBD. The Two Wells Campus (accomodating Reception-Year 10 in 2025) is located on the northern edge of the Two Wells township.

Our Two Wells Campus opened in 2021 and construction will continue until the campus accommodates students from Reception to Year 12.

At Xavier College Two Wells, we guide students through a comprehensive educational journey. Commencing in the primary years with building foundational skills in literacy and numeracy, as well as lessons in Italian, music, science and sport. In middle school, students explore a wide range of curriculum offerings and specialist subjects like arts, drama, agriculture and home economics, helping them identify their talents and interests. Additional learning opportunities, including guest visits, excursions, camps, and "The Rite Journey" wellbeing program for Year 9 students, extend learning beyond the classroom.

The Two Wells Campus’ spacious, contemporary classrooms and common spaces foster collaborative learning and a sense of community for students. Facilities include a sensory room, an indoor, double-court and spring floor gymnasium, a music suite, outdoor courts, a soccer pitch, and a new dedicated OSHC space with a kitchen.
