Role Details

The Opportunity 

This is a unique opportunity to join a cohesive and high performing team that provides services that build the capacity of educators to contribute more effectively to the Catholic identity and religious dimension of Catholic schooling in South Australia.

In this role, you will support school leaders within the religious dimension of Catholic schools and contribute to the development and provision of quality Religious Education (RE) curricula resources.

There are multiple positions available, with specific needs in the following areas:    

Sexuality and Respectful Relationships Education (SRRE)

  • Supporting Sexuality and Respectful Relationships Education (SRRE) (inclusive of alignment of KSCPC and Consent Education) including curriculum development, resource creation, professional learning and supporting teachers and leaders to more effectively plan, deliver, assess and review SSRE. 

Spiritual and Religious Formation

  • contributing to the team delivery of programs of spiritual and religious formation and professional learning (inclusive of Theology, Scripture, Religious Education and the Catholic identity and mission of schools).  
  • developing resource materials for the Formation of staff, leaders and parents in Catholic schools in South Australia in strategic partnership.

About You 

You will be: 

  • An active member of a Catholic Eucharistic community 
  • Have a relevant post-graduate Masters qualification, teacher registration and Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic Education SA school. 
  • Have excellent relational skills and commitment to mission and identity.
  • Have successful experience and proven capacity in planning, designing, leading, and facilitating high quality professional learning, particularly in the religious domain.

Please indicate your preferred FTE. Part time FTEs will be considered, taking into account the needs of the business.

  1. A completed CESA Application Form, in lieu of a CV, which includes the contact details of 3 professional referees, including your School Principal/Team Leader and Parish Priest.
  2. A copy of the ‘Parish Priest Reference Form’ which has been completed by your Parish Priest within the last 12 months (found on last page of Application Form).
  3. A statement (maximum 2 pages) addressing how your experience aligns with the position description.

Please note you must have the approval of your Principal/Director prior to applying for a secondment.
