Role Details

We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative Deputy Principal to join the leadership team at Our Lady of Hope School in Greenwith. The Deputy Principal will contribute significantly to the school’s mission, supporting students, staff, and the broader community to achieve excellence in a caring and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure students and staff experience our Catholic faith, liturgy, culture, sacramental life and traditions in an engaging and meaningful manner.
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to the Leadership Team, School Board, Quality Performance Team, Futures Focused Learning Network, Positive Behaviour Intervention & Support Team, and the Campus Leadership Committee (in collaboration with Greenwith Primary School).
  • Oversee and manage the Inclusion & Diversity Program, ensuring appropriate support structures are in place.
  • Lead the collection and analysis of NCCD data, review and monitor Personalised Plans for Learning, and coordinate ESO schedules to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Oversee the induction programs for staff and volunteers, ensuring they are well-prepared to contribute positively to the school community and uphold our values , culture and commitment to excellence.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including rosters and timetables, to ensure the school functions smoothly and efficiently, supporting both staff and student needs.
  • Work closely with the APRIM in fostering the spiritual and faith life of the school community.

About you

  • Be an active member of a Catholic Eucharistic community.
  • Hold a valid teaching qualification and relevant post-graduate qualification in Education or related field.
  • Well-developed communication skills to build and maintain respectful relationships with all members of the school community.
  • Deep commitment to inclusion and strong understanding of the processes involved in supporting students effectively.
  • Student focused with proven experience in driving school improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Intervention & Support and ability to promote student responsibility and self-regulation.
  • Exhibit strong organisational skills to manage diverse responsibilities, including timetabling, staff management and compliance effectively.
