Mercedes College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Administration Team Leader to join our vibrant, inclusive, and purpose-driven environment.  

About the Role:

The Administration Team Leader is a key leadership role, driving the success of the Administration Hub at Mercedes College while also providing vital personal assistant support. In this dynamic position, you will provide direction, inspire your team, and ensure the efficient operation of the Administration Hub, playing a pivotal role in the smooth running of the College. Your leadership will help shape a seamless, effective administrative function that supports the broader goals of the College.

This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week over 44 weeks of the year. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and inspire a dedicated team of reception, administration, health, and daily coordination staff, prioritising tasks, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining administrative processes and implement strategies that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the College.
  • Personal Assistant Duties: Provide essential support to the leadership team, including diary management, event coordination, report preparation, and communication management.
  • Cross-Skilling: Develop and implement strategies to facilitate staff development and cross-skilling, ensuring a well-rounded, versatile administrative team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Principal, and various other stakeholders to keep communication flowing smoothly and effectively across the College.
  • Compliance & First Aid: Uphold College policies, maintain a strong focus on WHS, and provide essential first aid services when required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a senior administrative or leadership role, preferably within the education sector.
  • Exceptional team leadership skills, including performance management, recruitment, and training.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with administrative software.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and creating a positive, productive work environment.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting leadership in various operational functions.
  • Relevant qualifications, including first aid training, are desirable.
  • A commitment to upholding and contributing to the Catholic ethos of Mercedes College.
