Role Details

Dominican School, Semaphore (0.8 FTE) to appoint a Leader of Learning and Inclusion to work within their school to support students in all areas of diverse learning and to strengthen student identity, literacy, numeracy and belonging through evidence-based practices.

The successful applicant will need to:

  • Work closely with both Principals, System Coaches and other Leaders of Learning to deliver a coherent and coordinated approach to strengthen student identity, literacy, numeracy and belonging through evidence-based practice;
  • Work within the school to set a consistent set of expectations involving collaboration for improvements in literacy, numeracy and wellbeing;
  • Engage with research-based learning about pedagogy and language that promotes high quality teaching and learning and builds a culture of high expectations for learners;
  • Assist in the collection and use of assessment and other data to develop strategies to strengthen student identity, literacy, numeracy and belonging;
  • Meet with Leadership Teams and Professional Learning Communities to focus on pertinent data to better inform teaching practices and student engagement.
  • Support students in all areas of diverse learning;
  • Have demonstrated ability to collaborate in a dynamic and flexible learning environment
  • Have a passion and dedication to support diversity, including diverse learning, culture and faith backgrounds;
  • Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, allied health support.

Professional Responsibilities:

It is expected that the Leader of Learning and Inclusion will have demonstrated achievement, leadership and professional acumen as outlined in the PID provided.

The successful candidate will be expected to undergo our screening process.
