Role Details

The Education Support Officer (Curriculum) works collaboratively as a member of the teaching and learning team. They assist students learning, either individually or in groups and assist teachers with implementation, evaluation and student involvement of learning programs such as EALD support, literacy and numeracy support.

Position Requirement

Temporary, part time contract of 31.75 hours per week across 5 days over 40 weeks of the year.

Duties:

  • Liaise with the Inclusive Education Coordinator regarding adjustments to children’s learning
  • Assist the Classroom Teacher to implement a modified learning program for students with additional needs
  • Collect suggested resources and where necessary make or prepare resources to support children’s learning
  • Attend and provide supervision on excursions & incursions when required to support the teacher and children
  • Assist in the daily operations of the school.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience in implementing learning intervention programs such as Playberry
  • Catholic Police Check or equivalent (DCSI screening)
  • Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care Certificate
  • First Aid Certification
