Role Details

Are you passionate about shaping young minds and creating a welcoming, and nurturing environment for children? Xavier College Two Wells is seeking a dedicated OSHC Assistant Director to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to lead with purpose, contribute to our community, and support the Salesian ethos of education. 

As the OSHC Assistant Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and efficient operations of our OSHC program. Working closely with the OSHC Director, you will foster collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking in a supportive environment that empowers children to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating developmentally appropriate programs
  • Support compliance with National Quality Standards and relevant regulations
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to OSHC staff
  • Build partnerships with families, staff, and support professionals
  • Undertake administrative duties, including financial checks and reporting as delegated
  • Act as the OSHC Director during their absence, ensuring seamless operations
  • Promote safety, well-being, and a positive culture among children and staff

To be successful, you will need:

  • Proven knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Qualifications recognised by ACECQA to work in child-related industries
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and support a dynamic team
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management abilities
  • Availability to work opening and closing OSHC hours
