Join Our Growing Accounts Receivable Team at Xavier College!

Due to continued growth, Xavier College is expanding its Accounts Receivable team and is looking for two dedicated individuals to join us in the role of Finance Officer. If you have a passion for debt collection and a strong background in accounts receivable, we want to hear from you!

We have one full-time, permanent role and one part-time, 12 month contract role (approximately 20-22 hours per week, with flexible days and hours negotiable). Both roles are based at the College's Gawler Belt campus. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively follow up with families to recover overdue debts
  • Set up and manage payment plans to assist families while ensuring timely payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Invoice college fees and other related charges
  • Collaborate within a dynamic Finance team
  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Purchasing tasks, as needed

About you:

The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in Accounting, Finance, Business (or equivalent) and/or relevant experience in a similar role. Strong skills in accounting software, attention to detail, and knowledge of financial regulations are essential. Effective, empathetic communication with families to resolve payment issues and recover debt is key, along with maintaining integrity and confidentiality at all times.
