Role Details

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Late Care and Vacation Care Supervisor to join our Early Learning Centre. This role involves supervising and supporting children aged 3 to 5 years, fostering their development in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. You will lead the Late Care Program, assist in daily care routines, and contribute to the overall wellbeing of each child.

Term time (39 weeks): 12 hours per week

  • Monday: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Thursday & Friday: 4:00pm – 6:00pm

Term holidays (9 weeks): 25 hours per week (5 hours per weekday)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and implement developmentally appropriate programs, aligned with the National Quality Standard.
  • Record observations to support program planning and track children's progress.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff, promoting a nurturing environment.
  • Lead the Late Care Assistant and supervise the program in the Coordinator’s absence.
  • Support children with additional needs, promoting inclusion and diversity.
  • Ensure health, safety, and hygiene practices are maintained.
  • Prepare snacks following food safety regulations and maintain clean, organized spaces.
  • Close the centre at the end of each day.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect – Education and Care training
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting qualification
  • Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
