The Opportunity

 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new multi-disciplinary allied health team and contribute to improving the learning and wellbeing outcomes for students across Catholic Education SA (CESA). The CESA Improved Learning through Allied Health (CILAH) program is a new initiative that will deliver allied health services by deploying allied health professionals (AHPs) from occupational therapy, psychology, and speech pathology into schools to work with students, families and education staff. 

 

Allied health professionals in the CILAH program focus on providing support most likely to assist in reducing the challenges students with disability face with learning, speech and language, behaviour and regulation, and social-emotional wellbeing. 

 

As a Lead AHP, you will lead a CILAH Outreach Service and have the opportunity to contribute to this exciting initiative by working alongside the Manager Allied Health to determine service delivery models, establish clinical governance frameworks, and develop key stakeholder engagement strategies.

 

The Lead AHP position is the professional and clinical lead for a CILAH Outreach Service. As the Lead AHP you will:

 

  • Provide clinical and professional guidance and support to a team of AHPs which you will assist to recruit for that location

  • Oversee the administrative functioning of the CILAH Outreach Services

  • Oversee and coordinate the professional relationship between the CILAH Outreach Service and the school leaders, teachers and staff.

  • Ensure the Outreach Services are contributing to CESA goals and CILAH Key Performance Indicators

  • Contribute to CILAH program capacity building initiatives to ensure sustainability 

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy.

  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and/or certification with the relevant professional regulatory/oversight body, the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

Flexible and Adaptable: You can adapt to changing circumstances and remain calm and effective under pressure, always maintaining a focus on the needs of students and schools.

 

Effective ManagementYou have a proven ability to manage people, budgets and business processes that deliver improved outcomes.

 

Outcome-Driven: You are committed to achieving goals and meeting key performance indicators, ensuring the CILAH program contributes positively to CESA's objectives.
