About the Role:

The Primary Years Teacher R-6 will be responsible as a classroom teacher in our Reception year level, working collaboratively with other teaching staff to deliver a positive and engaging learning environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to join our passionate team.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate

  • The requisite qualifications, registration and clearances to teach in South Australia.
  • A passionate approach and positive attitude.
  • A deep knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and utilize contemporary and engaging pedagogies which promote high levels of engagement and excellent outcomes for all learners. 
  • The ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to a variety of learning styles and student needs, utilizing assessment data to support planning.
  • An excellent understanding and use of restorative practices, trauma aware practices and SEL programs to help students self regulate and develop skills of personal responsibility and positive wellbeing.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with learners, colleagues, parents and the broader community leading to high quality learning outcomes.
  • The ability to deal effectively with the administrative requirements of the role.
  • A commitment to support and contribute to the Catholic Identity and Dominican charism of OLOG.

  • Working with Children Clearance and screening to work in Catholic Education SA.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care certificate.
