The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Year Reception Teacher to join the team at St Joseph’s School Tranmere on a fixed-term contract, commencing Term 3, 2025!

Key Responsibilities:
As a key member of our teaching team at St Joseph’s School Tranmere, you will:
- Foster a love of learning in an engaging and inclusive Reception classroom.
- Design, plan and deliver high-quality teaching that aligns with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and student growth.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create a dynamic and supportive learning community.
- Provide a balanced and challenging program relevant to the needs of the students (including developing Individual Learning Plans, as appropriate).
- Employ behaviour management strategies which ensure a safe, orderly, and successful learning environment.
- Possess a deep knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and Crossways and utilise contemporary and engaging pedagogies which promote high levels of engagement and quality outcomes for all learners.
- Have an excellent understanding and use of Restorative Practices, Trauma-aware practices and effective strategies to assist students to self-regulate and develop skills of personal responsibility and positive well-being.
About You:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic educator with:
- A deep understanding of early years education, child development, and inquiry-based learning.
- Sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogies to promote learning for students.
- A professional, efficient, qualified educator, with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- An energetic, positive, and dynamic demeanour who is committed to working collaboratively in our school.
- Ability to establish highly engaging learning environments in and out of the classroom.
- Ability to utilise contemporary and engaging pedagogies to promote high levels of engagement and quality outcomes for all learners.
- Current Teacher’s Registration in Australia, a valid Working with Children Clearance (WWCC), a First Aid Certificate and RRHAN–EC certificate.
