Role Details

This is an exciting opportunity for a relational and nurturing Junior Primary Teacher to assist in maintaining high quality and contemporary learning programs to meet the needs new Reception students.

The successful applicant will:

• Actively support and contribute to Catholic identity and faith formation at St Margaret Mary’s School.
• Provide a nurturing and welcoming learning environment that teaches and supports student wellbeing including transition to school, personal responsibility, resilience and independence.
• Demonstrate a knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and utilise contemporary and engaging pedagogies which promote high levels of engagement and excellent outcomes for young learners
• Demonstrate experience and capability in using evidenced based practices to inform the teaching Early Years literacy and numeracy.
• Demonstrate highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with learners, colleagues, parents and the broader community.
• Design inclusive learning programs that meet the specific needs of all learners.
• Demonstrate commitment to ongoing development as a lifelong learner and a reflective practitioner.

Additional Information

If the successful applicant is available, they will have the opportunity be an important part of the transition program late in Term 2.

To be considered, applications must include:

1.Current South Australian Teachers Registration

2.Current Working with Children Check

3.Full Day (7 hour) Responding to Abuse Neglect Training and RRHAN-EC update (where applicable)

4.First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

5.CESA Employment Declaration
