Role Description

St Francis Xavier's Catholic School is seeking a dedicated, student-focussed Assistant Director for our OSHC and Vacation Care programs. The Assistant Director will provide a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for children 4 - 12 years of age in Before and After School Care, and Vacation Care.

OSHC opening hours during school terms:

Monday to Friday - 7:15am – 9:00am
Monday to Friday - 3:05pm - 6:00pm

Vacation Care- Monday to Friday- 7:15am - 6:00pm in school holidays.

Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage.

Essential Selection Criteria:

• An ongoing commitment to support, uphold and contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school.
• Approved qualification for working with children over preschool age as listed on the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) website.
• Demonstrated experience in management and leadership of staff, financial management and administration, planning and evaluation, marketing and liaison.
• High-level organisational skills, ability to plan, problem-solve, prioritise and proactively manage time effectively, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, discretion and capacity to program own work and be responsible for own outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Competently work with limited supervision, as well as work effectively as a member of a team.

Additional Information

• ACECQA approved qualification
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Full Day (7 hour) Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) training and further refresher training certifications
• First Aid training- HLTAID01
