Role Details

An exciting opportunity is now available for Property Services – Ground and Maintenance workerto join our expanding, multi-campus College. Multiple permanent, full-time positions under direction of the Facilities Operations Manager are available.

As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of our College’s property. You'll be responsible for ensuring our gardens, sports grounds, and facilities remain safe, well-maintained, and visually appealing. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing a range of routine tasks as outlined in the grounds and maintenance schedule
  • Maintain gardens, sports grounds which includes the use of accredited trade skills in areas such as horticulture, gardening or maintenance of sports grounds 
  • Perform gardening duties such as trimming trees/shrubs, cutting lawns and edges, weeding and watering of gardens and plants 
  • Safely operate and maintain ride-on machinery used for grounds maintenance
  • Undertake repairs and maintenance to buildings and property 
  • As part of a team, general responsibility of upkeep, tidiness and appearance of the College
  • Assist trades personnel with manual duties

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated maintenance and grounds experience 
  • Certificate III in horticulture or gardening, or technical trade experience
  • A current SA drivers’ licence 
  • Working With Children Clearance
  • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse & Neglect – Education and Care certificate
  • First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012)
  • Willingness to undertake training, as required
