Role Details

About the Role

We are seeking a committed and compassionate ELC Care Supervisor to join our Early Learning Centre team. In this key role, you will lead the Late Care Program, supporting and supervising children in a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment. You’ll also contribute to the Vacation Care program during term breaks.

Term Time (39 weeks): 12 hours per week
Term Holidays (9 weeks): 25 hours per week (as rostered)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement engaging programs aligned with the National Quality Standard.
  • Observe and support children’s individual needs and interests.
  • Build respectful, positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Promote inclusive practices and support children with additional needs.
  • Maintain high standards of health, hygiene, safety, and food preparation.
  • Prepare and pack up indoor and outdoor environments and assist with centre closing duties.
  • Supervise the Late Care Assistant and lead the program in the Coordinator’s absence.

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma of Children’s Services (or currently studying), or third-year Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
  • Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care training
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current HLTAID012 First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

Desirable Attributes

  • Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia philosophy
  • Experience in early childhood care
  • Familiarity with Catholic school environments and protocols
