THE OPPORTUNITY

St Therese School is seeking a passionate teacher to work as part of our creative and dedicated team of educators. Whether you are a beginning teacher or an experienced educator with a passion for working with young children, we encourage you to apply. 

This is a full-time temporary teaching contract from 21 July 2025 to 12 December 2025.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated and collaborative team of educators, committed to working in partnership with families and caregivers to provide individualised care alongside quality teaching and learning programs, to ensure students are given opportunities to thrive at school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Teacher at St Therese school, you will:
• Work collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, and parents/caregivers to facilitate positive
learning by students and engage in educational reform.
• Possess a deep knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and Crossways and utilise
contemporary and engaging pedagogies which promote high levels of engagement and quality
outcomes for all learners.
• Tailor your teaching approach to meet the unique needs and learning styles of your students.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation
and student growth.
• Provide a balanced and challenging program relevant to the needs of the students (including
developing Personal Plans for Learning, as appropriate).
• Communicate effectively to build positive partnerships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader community.
• Use Restorative Practices and Trauma-aware practices to assist young people to excel.

We are seeking a passionate teacher who can plan and deliver a high-quality education aligned with Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) principles and the St Therese School strategic plan. The successful applicant will foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment and support the holistic development of students.

Additional Information

The successful applicant will meet the following:

  • Teacher Registration in South Australia
  • Excellent knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogies to promote learning for students
  • Mandatory Notification Training- RRHAN- EC Certificate
  • Working with Children Clearance (WWCC)
  • Catholic Clearance
  • Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum (KS: CPC) Training
  • First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012)
