Sixteen teachers from across the three South Australian education sectors, Catholic Education South Australia (CESA), Department for Education and Association of Independent Schools of South Australia (AISSA) gathered with family and friends to receive certificates recognising them as Nationally Certified Highly Accomplished (HAT) or Lead Teachers (LT).
Catholic Education SA had four teachers recognised. Alison Barr from St Joseph’s Murray Bridge, Michelle Burt from Cardijn College and Jarrad McCabe from Mercedes College were acknowledged as having reached certification as Highly Accomplished teachers. Toni Fitzgerald from St John the Baptist, Plympton was acknowledged as a Lead Teacher.

One hundred and forty Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary students gathered recently to celebrate ‘Ngunyawayiti Ngadluku Ngartu-itya’ (Children’s Celebration).
