Excitement grows as building work starts

The development of McAuley Community School is well underway with building works commencing at the site.

New school principal, Amanda Parslow, is regularly visiting the construction site and ensuring all is on track for a 2020 opening.

There’s growing interest in the school with over 120 people attending a Community Forum on November 27.

Highlights of the forum included:

  • inaugural Principal of McAuley Community School, Amanda Parslow, sharing her vision for McAuley Community School, a Mercy school in the Catholic tradition – A Place to Thrive
  • the launch of the school crest
  • launch of Alive Early Care and Learning Centre which will be co-located at Hove.

“There was a wonderful buzz in the room and great excitement when the school crest was launched,” says Amanda.

“Many commented on how much they like the crest, especially the narrative behind it.”
