Catholic Education SA has launched a website – www.cesa.catholic.edu.au/learning-online – that will ensure learning continuity and support for our students and teachers as we move to providing learning in an online environment.
While students have been learning online in a variety of ways for many years, this new website will make it easier for teachers to plan for remote learning in the current context.
The website includes learning resources and practical guides for teachers, and information for families to help support children’s learning and wellbeing online.

However, parents are not expected to be teachers. Classroom teachers will be in regular contact with their students using the approved practices of their school.
Families who choose to keep their students at school will also learn in this online environment under the supervision of teachers.

A suite of learning resources has been developed to support teachers in planning their online lessons. Organised by year level bands, each band includes educational resources across a range of subjects with links to websites and lesson ideas.
This section also offers resources on prayer, connecting with your Catholic community, tips for maintaining health and wellbeing, supporting learning diversity and ensuring students are safe in online environments.
Teachers can use the resources to create learning experiences for their online classroom and adapt the resources to meet the needs of their students and their particular school context. Over the coming weeks, teachers will be encouraged to contribute to these resources.

“With many families choosing to keep students at home during the current COVID-19 pandemic, this platform – together with other online tools such as Office365 and Microsoft teams - will support teachers in providing lessons in an online environment for our students”, said John Mula, Deputy Director, Catholic Education South Australia.
“In these rapidly changing times, we will ensure we continue to support our students and their families".
“Our schools are open and we will continue to support our students' learning and wellbeing irrespective of whether they are online learning at school or at home".
In these rapidly changing times, Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) teachers will support students using alternative modes of lesson delivery.
