Role Details

St Joseph's School has multiple exciting opportunities for qualified and talented Education (Learning) Support Officers to join the team and work in a kind, motivated and friendly team. We are looking for applicants interested and skilled in working with primary and secondary students, and special needs students.   

  • Commitment to supporting the promotional and educational aspects of a Catholic school and carrying out all duties in a spirit of 'All things kindness'. 
  • Knowledge to work in a range of education settings, including Primary, Secondary school, community education and parish settings.
  • Dedicated to their own professional learning and school improvement. 
  • Able to work in close partnership with teaching, support staff, parents/carers & leadership.
  • Focused on ensuring that every child under their care achieves the very best. 
  • Professional and a team player.
  • Highly motivated and able to work on their own initiative. 
  • Prepared to undertake 30 minutes lunch duty per day.

Additional Information

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Education Support (or equivalent) or other associated qualification relevant for a school setting, and/or previously demonstrated experience working in a classroom support role
  • Current Working With Children Clearance
  • Catholic Clearance to undertake paid work in a Catholic school
  • Responding to the Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Training - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC)
  • First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012)
