Role Details

Whitefriars Catholic School offers a rare opportunity for an inspired accounting professional who flourishes in a "hands on" enviroment with varied tasks.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity and Josephite ethos of our Whitefriars School.
  • Apply a detailed knowledge of the Enterprise Agreement and SACCS policies to enable provision of general advice to school staff. This includes interpreting standard provisions of the Enterprise agreement and employment contracts.
  • Timely and precise payroll processing, including specialised salary and payroll calculations, for approval by the Principal (or delegate).
  • Manage salary packaging and fringe benefit tax requirements with advice from others, as required.
  • Under direction, calculate specialised requirements such as eligible termination payments, superannuation trust deed requirements, redundancy and workers compensation matters (subject to approval).
  • Calculate, record and maintain employees leave entitlements records.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the Principal (or delegate).
  • Undertaken approved Mandatory Notification training and (DCSI) screening clearance to work with children;
  • Ability to demostrate practical support for the Catholic ethos of the school;
  • An understanding of and commitment to WH&S requirements.

Working in close collaboration with the School Principal and Business Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the financial intergrity of the school's Payroll System..

Additional Information

The successful applicant will be required to obtain the following:

  • Report Abuse and Neglect Traning (7 hours) plus updates;
  • HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education & Care Setting; 
  • Police Clearance to work in Catholic Education SA including a Working with Children Check.
